FNAF(Five Nights at Freddy's) is a survival horror game where you take the role of a night security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Your job sounds easy: monitor security cameras and survive until 6 AM. The problem is that the restaurant's animatronic mascots come to life after dark and begin searching for you.
Unlike many horror games, you can't run, hide, or fight back. You are stuck in a small office with only cameras, lights, and security doors for protection.
Everything you do in FNAF eats up power. Flicking through cameras, turning on lights, slamming doors shut - it all drains your battery. And once that power hits zero, you're sitting in the dark, completely helpless.
So you're constantly walking this tightrope. Use too much, and you're out of juice. Use too little, and one of them could be right in front of you before you know it.
What really makes FNAF stick with you is the cast. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy - they all act differently. Bonnie and Chica creep in from opposite sides, slow and steady. Foxy hangs out in Pirate Cove, then suddenly bolts straight for your office out of nowhere. And Freddy? He gets more aggressive as the night goes on, so you can never really relax.

But it's not just about the jump scares. The story is what really hooked players in. Tiny hints scattered everywhere - newspaper clippings, voicemails, little background details you'd easily miss - they all slowly paint this bigger, darker picture about missing children and haunted robots.
That mystery spawned a million fan theories and turned what could've been a one-off horror game into a whole franchise that's still going strong.

FNAF is easily one of the most impactful indie horror games out there. The tension, the tough choices, the unforgettable characters, and that creepy buried story - it all comes together in a way that keeps both newcomers and old fans coming back for more.
