My first few levels in Road To 7 felt easy. I simply picked the quickest operation and moved on. That worked... until it didn't. Before long, I realized the game wasn't testing my math skills. It was testing whether I could think a few moves ahead.
Road To 7 is a casual puzzle game where you merge numbers along a fixed path using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Every result must stay between 0 and 9, and your final number has to be exactly 7. The rules are simple, but every choice you make affects the next one.
The fun comes from planning rather than calculating. A move that looks perfect now can ruin the rest of the puzzle. After a while, I stopped asking, "Which answer is right?" and started asking, "Which answer gives me the best next move?" That's when I really started to understand the game.
I kept telling myself, "Just one more level." That's probably the best way to describe Road To 7. The rules stay simple, but the puzzles never feel exactly the same, which makes it easy to lose track of time.
