Cobb Can Move is a top-down browser horror game where the monster's abilities change every level. One round he hears your footsteps. The next he sees your light. Then he smells you if you hide too long. You grab coal, burn furnaces, flip switches, and escape before Cobb catches you. The game tells you the danger upfront. Remembering it under pressure is the real challenge.
Every time you press a key, the game registers a step. On metal floors, that step echoes. On cracked tiles, it creaks. Cobb hears both from across the room. If the rule says "Cobb can hear," do not run more than two steps in a row. Tap the key, release, wait one second, tap again. Holding a direction key is a death sentence when he is close. Also, never move while Cobb is on the same straight line as you without a wall in between. That line is his hunting path.
Each level shows a short line before you move. Examples:
Read the rule twice. Then say it out loud. Then look at the room and ask, "Where is the worst place to be right now?" That is where Cobb will go first.
Coal is usually near Cobb's starting position or in a dead-end hallway. Grab it last if possible. If you must grab it early, take a wide loop around the room to approach from behind. Do the tasks in this order when possible: coal first if it is safe, then furnace, then switch, then exit. But if the rule is "Cobb can hear," reverse the order. Grab coal last because grabbing makes a sound.
Not really. You can win one level. But the next level changes the rule, and your old habit kills you. Consistent wins require reading the rule aloud, tapping keys gently, and never assuming safety just because you escaped before. The player who survives most often is not the fastest. It is the one who respects every new rule like it is the first time.
