Fish Out of Water is a fun arcade-style throwing game where the entire goal is to launch a group of fish across the ocean and see how far they can bounce. It sounds simple at first, but after a few rounds, you realize each fish behaves differently, which makes every throw feel unique. Some fish skip quickly across the water, while others dive deep or bounce unpredictably depending on how you throw them.
Not every fish works the same way, and that’s something I noticed pretty quickly. Some are better at fast skips across the surface, while others stay in the air longer before hitting the water. I kept getting bad scores early on because I was throwing every fish the same way. Once you figure out their personalities a bit, the game becomes much more fun.
At first, I thought stronger throws would always go farther, but that really isn’t true. A few of my hardest swipes ended almost immediately because the fish crashed into the water too sharply. Slower swipes with a better angle usually gave me cleaner skips and longer distances.
The ocean conditions actually matter more than I expected. Calm water makes bouncing easier, but storms can completely change a run. Sometimes the waves help your fish travel farther, and other times they ruin a perfect throw. It keeps every round from feeling the same.

Fish Out of Water is easy to understand, but landing the perfect throw takes real practice. Pick your favorite fish, watch the waves carefully, and see how far you can send them across the ocean.
